Diana Czapalay
Global Account Director

A Global Account Director, with 10+ years experience of working in the airline/aviation industry. With a proven ability to build longstanding relationships based on transparency and trust, Diana is an innovative thinker, a versed negotiator and a great team player. Diana has a Bachelor of Political Science from the University of La Verne, California and a Master of Business Administration from University of Phoenix.

She started her career in finance/banking, but her passion for food and travel made her gravitate towards airline catering. Diana joined Gate Gourmet Canada in 2010 as part of the finance integration team shortly after the acquisition of Cara Airline Solutions. She then transitioned to the commercial team in 2012 where she held many roles managing several strategic customers for gategroup. Having lived in various countries around the world, Diana likes the ethnical diversity of the airline industry. Her current role as Global Account Director allows her to interact with all gategroup brands operating in different jurisdictions around the world.

When she is not working, Diana enjoys spending time with her husband and 5-year-old son, who is a nature lover and a great explorer. She is also a great runner, a passion she shares with her husband. Diana finished several half-marathons over the years but last year she accomplished a solo full-marathon – a Covid success project.


Jim Ball

James Ball has worked in the Aviation Services industry for 30 plus years, gaining experience in In-flight Catering Operations, Finance, and ultimately Sales & Marketing. As a seasoned Vice President of Sales & Service for Flying Food Group he is passionate about advancing the initiatives and values of the International Flight Services Association (IFSA).


Jodi Spicer
Managing Director, Onboard Dining & Service
American Airlines

Jodi Spicer currently serves as Managing Director, Onboard Dining & Service at American Airlines. Prior to accepting her current role in February 2021, Jodi also held a variety of leadership positions including Director, Catering Operations and Logistics in which she led the team responsible for American’s global catering operations and supply chain. Jodi has been a member of the IFSA Board of Directors for the past year and was previously an active member of the Government Affairs and Education Committee (GAEC).

In her spare time, Jodi is an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan and enjoys traveling and cooking for family and friends.  


Jon Harwood
Head of Supply Chain, dnata Catering

Currently based in Dubai, Jon moved from the UK towards the end of 2015 to head up dnata Catering’s Procurement and Supply Chain strategy and recently taken on a new role to drive dnata’s growth in the Retail space. Jon spent the prior 6 years at British Airways in various roles, the majority in the catering department, including managing all of BA’s overseas catering operations. In his spare time, Jon enjoys going to the football (soccer) games and when possible attempting to improve his golf handicap. Jon has served on the IFSA Board since 2017 and hopes continue to serve on the Board to and take the association forward.


Tim Zandbergen
Manager – Global Sales
ANA Catering Service

Tim would like to seek nomination as an IFSA Board Member to represent ANA Catering, All Nippon Airlines (both 100% owned by parent company ANA Holding Inc.), and the Asia Pacific Region. Previously Tim has been involved with the IFSA Board in the role of assisting his former company’s (JAL Group TFK Corporation) Managing Director (Mr. Hideo Miyabe) who for many years held an IFSA Board position. In addition he was a active member of the IFSA Asia-Pacific Planning Committee for a number of years when IFSA held successful annual Asia-Pacific Conferences.

As a Board Member he pledges to attend all Board Meetings, be available for conference calls, build the IFSA network and internal relations, work within the IFSA timeline, complete all reports and duties, and add value for all IFSA members, support and promote IFSA in the Asia Pacific Region.

Tim has been in Asia since 1982 and living in Japan since 1992, working in the Japan Airline Inflight Catering Business for over 25 years. He has an MBA in International Business from McGill University (Montreal), is fluent in Japanese, and has a demonstrated history of success in the airlines/aviation industry of which he is very passionate about.”
