Live Microgarden Installation

dnata Catering & Retail will offer visitors to its stand a tangible demonstration of how freshness, sustainability and culinary creativity are shaping the next phase of onboard dining with a live microgarden installation.

Specifically, it will feature a 96-punnet microgarden cabinet inspired by dnata’s catering facility in Melbourne, where the microgarden enables culinary teams to cultivate select herbs onsite for use in menu development. Introduced in 2025, the initiative has already influenced the creation of 60 dishes across more than a dozen menu presentations.

“Our presence at WTCE highlights how dnata is […] working closely with our partners to enhance both the quality and relevance of the onboard experience.”
– Robin Padgett, Dnata

Herbs are harvested daily and incorporated into dishes served across 26 airline customers in Melbourne, highlighting how hyper-local cultivation can deliver meaningful impact within large-scale airline catering environments: improving freshness and reducing waste.

“As passenger expectations continue to evolve, airlines are placing greater emphasis on freshness, creativity and inclusivity in onboard dining,” stated dnata Catering & Retail CEO Robin Padgett. “Our presence at WTCE highlights how dnata is responding through initiatives such as our microgarden […] working closely with our partners to enhance both the quality and relevance of the onboard experience.”

Elsewhere, the company will highlight a curated selection of special meals to reflect the growing airline focus on catering to diverse dietary, cultural and lifestyle requirements, as well as elements of its onboard retail offering.

Crew Meal App

Launched late last year with Air Arabia and already running at scale with over 2,000 crew members, Omnevo’s Crew Meal App has been designed to modernize crew catering, having identified it as a workflow that has not kept pace with the operational precision airlines apply everywhere else.

Rather than leaving meals to be loaded based on estimates, Omnevo’s solution allows crewmembers to submit their meal preferences and dietary requirements directly through the app well before departure. The data provided feeds straight into an airline’s catering operations, and the result is a measurable reduction in waste at source.

On the allergen and nutrition side, the app handles complexity that traditional paper-based systems or last-minute radio calls cannot. Crew with specific dietary needs, whether a medical allergy, religious requirement, or preference for healthier options, can register them digitally. Because meal selection is managed at the individual level, airlines can offer genuine nutritional variety rather than defaulting to the most generic option on the trolley.

Furthermore, the app enforces flight safety rules automatically. Regulations require that pilots and co-pilots don’t eat the same meal, a safeguard against simultaneous incapacitation from foodborne illness. Traditionally this has been managed manually, but Omnevo’s Crew Meal App handles these requirements in the background, flagging conflicts before loading, so compliance is built into the workflow.

The Crew Meal App is a natural extension of the same pre-order logic that powers Omnevo’s passenger retail solutions, so for existing customers integration simply requires adding a new module into an existing setup. If required, the app can also be integrated with third-party solutions.

Snackboxtogo Carbon Footprint Monitor

Snackboxtogo will showcase its Carbon Footprint Monitor at this year’s WTCE event. Currently offered to a limited group of partners, the company is working to expand it to additional interested parties.

The data-driven tool provides users with clear insights into the footprint of their packaging and component choices, moving beyond general sustainability claims and offering clients concrete data that allows them to work together with Snackboxtogo to take real action to reduce their environmental impact.

The Carbon Footprint Monitor has been built on four clear pillars: Insight, Offsetting, Reduction, and Optimization. The company provides customers full transparency into the CO₂ emissions of their products, using data validated by accredited experts. It also gives them the possibility to immediately take responsibility by offsetting emissions through a certified third party. In terms of reduction, Snackboxtogo is committed to working side by side with clients to optimize routes, streamline production, and reduce waste based on the data from the monitor.

Finally, the company will present a new range of inclusive and sustainable food products with lower CO2 footprints designed for the airline catering industry, which have been created to tackle the root causes of emissions and help businesses rethink their product range.

Already served in Delta One cabins, it delivers a clean, elegant style with notes of peach, white flowers, vanilla, and brioche. The champagne offers a level of finesse and consistency that buyers can reliably build into their premium cabin programs. Currently available in United Airlines’ Polaris snack baskets, these chips are made in Spain with an intense aroma and exceptional flavor that elevates any moment to a unique sensory experience. The result of an exclusive recipe enriched with authentic truffles.

Muddy Bites
Waiting to be snapped up by an airline, Muddy Bites was inspired by the most beloved part of a classic ice cream cone: the chocolate-filled tip at the very end. They took that perfect bite and turned it into a snack all its own: the best bite, every bite.

Donum Carneros Chardonnay
All Donum wines are made with organically grown grapes sourced from five Regenerative Organic Certified vineyards. Donum Carneros Chardonnay is crafted for freshness, balance, and complexity. Primarily fermented in French oak, it delivers an elegant, vibrant profile that performs well in premium cabins and complements modern inflight menus. While the Carneros Chardonnay is not inflight, the Donum Vineyard Pinot Noir is already flying.

ClickEat compostable paper cup
An extension of ClickEat’s compostable stir sticks, which are already being used onboard, the company is also offering a single wall sustainable paper cup with a water-based liner that is backyard compostable, works with hot and cold products, and is customizable based on an airlines’ needs.

Harney & Sons Tea
Not yet inflight, Harney & Sons offers a refined collection of globally sourced fine teas, including blends created for Historic Royal Palaces in England. Their Fairtrade commitment and long-standing environmental partnerships further enhance their luxury positioning.

Tom Savano Mojito
Tom Savano’s Classic Mojito delivers an elegant, ready-to-serve blend of crisp white rum, fragrant garden mint, tart lime, and a touch of golden demerara sugar. Crafted at 8 per cent ABV for a balanced, refreshing profile, it offers a bar-quality Cuban-style mojito perfectly suited for premium cabin service.

Alexander Whisky, Bottega White 0 20cl

At this year’s WTCE, Bottega is showcasing its new Alexander Whisky range, available in three different cask finishes and ABVs to meet both the consumers approaching the world of whisky for the first time as well as connoisseurs. It is also highlighting  its non-alcoholic Bottega 0 White 20cl product, which is already inflight with airBaltic.

The company’s Alexander Whisky range is its latest release, which is yet to take off with an airline. Crafted in copper stills and aged in fine oak, it follows the time-honored aging process before undergoing a unique finish: an additional two years in barrels from Bottega’s family’s wineries – Chianti, Brunello, and Amarone – that impart deep character, fruity complexity, and a naturally warm hue.

At 20 years old, Sandro Bottega was invited to Brazil to explore the whisky, and since then had dreamed of creating his own. Now, he has achieved that goal, continuing from grapes to cereals with the Alexander Whisky Red Wine casks finish 40%; Alexander Whisky Brunello casks finish 43%; and Alexander Whisky Amarone casks finish 46%.

Elsewhere, its Bottega White 0 20cl is not a dealcoholized wine, instead being made from grape must. With intense must aromas and a sweet, delicate and fresh taste, Bottega claims it is also an excellent ingredient in cocktail and mocktail recipes.
