My name is Shea Mikos and I am from Long Island, New York. While at home I spent the majority of my time with my friends and family. My family consists of my parents, my sister Emma, and my dog Ollie. I had a very tight-knit friend group from home, and now living in Florida, I do miss them greatly. Throughout my life I became very fond of the outdoors, and activities such as hiking, diving, traveling, and going to the beach. To emphasize travel, I have been to many countries and I hope to one day backpack a vast amount of the world. I grew up playing softball, which I carried through until an injury I obtained in high school. Furthermore, in high school, I learned that I had an affinity for business, specifically event planning and coordination. I was Vice President of DECA, as well as a competitor who won seventh at the state level in the Hospitality Management cluster. I was also the Vice President and Cofounder of the Human Trafficking Prevention Council, which I started with my best friend after her life was personally affected by this impending issue. I graduated from high school with honors from the National, English, Business, History, and Foreign Language Honors Societies. I am now in college at the University of Central Florida, I joined the sorority Pi Beta Phi, and I am thoroughly enjoying my new life chapter here!
