[Onboard Hospitality]: Versilia Solutions has collaborated with Best Bar None to introduce the aviation industry’s first specialised alcohol responsibility training programme.
Aimed at cabin crew and inflight retail teams, the training equips staff with the skills to identify early signs of passenger intoxication, techniques to de-escalate and confidently manage challenging situations, and knowledge of how to apply airline alcohol policies consistently.
The programme is delivered through Luz, Versilia’s training app. It integrates into busy work schedules and offers participants a transferable certification for future use.
Between 2019 and 2022, the number of disruptive passenger incidents reported by UK airlines tripled to more than 1,000.
Research highlights that over half of cabin crew members have witnessed or experienced abuse, including physical and sexual assault, from intoxicated passengers.
Best Bar None has expertise in alcohol management and has collaborated with Versilia Solutions to meet the unique demands of the aviation industry.
