Delta brings in new Missoni luxury amenities for Delta One – Aircraft Interiors International

[Aircraft Interiors International]: Delta Air Lines is expanding its partnership with the Missoni Italian fashion brand, to create a luxurious new range of amenities for its Delta One customers. The collection includes a Missoni bedding set designed for Delta, along with a refreshed amenity kit. The new Delta One bedding set will launch on international Delta One flights this summer and will be rolled out across all Delta One flights by the end of the year.
“In crafting the next generation of our amenity kit we embraced our signature artistry, blending patterns, textures and hues to create a kit that’s distinct, enduring, and designed to suit your lifestyle beyond your time on the plane,” said Alberto Caliri, creative director at Missoni.

Missoni designs often make use of bold patterns and vivid colours. The Delta amenities are a little subtler than some might expect of Missoni, but that seems appropriate for a relaxing sleep experience. The new Delta One bedding set includes a Missoni duvet and white sleeping pillow, which feature a subtle and elegant Missoni trademark zigzag design with navy accents.
Delta is also expanding its popular mattress pad that doubles as a lumbar pillow to all Delta One flights, and is introducing an additional memory foam ‘cuddle pillow’ for long-haul flights over 12 hours. Later this year, the airline will also introduce upgraded Missoni branded navy slippers.
